Lifeline Vi Alarm Base Unit
The Careline Alarm unit can be installed within a matter of minutes, either by the alarm user or by a loved one or neighbour. It simply needs to be connected to a power socket and the telephone socket. The alarm user's telephone can then be plugged into the back of the unit, using the adapter provided. Once everything is connected, a test call can be completed with our 24-hour monitoring team. The alarm unit has a built-in microphone and loudspeaker, as well as three buttons. The red button is the button to press in an emergency situation or to test the alarm.
MyAmie Pendant
The Careline pendant is small, discreet and comfortable. It can be worn around the wrist, like a watch, or around the neck. Both attachments come inside the alarm box. The pendant has some great features, for example it is waterproof so that the wearer can keep it on in the bath or shower. It also has a range of up to 100 metres, which is perfect for use outside in the garden. In an emergency, the wearer simply presses the red pendant button and an alert call will go through to our monitoring team. They will respond and arrange for help.
The Careline Fall Detector
Our fall detector option is for those who want all the benefits of the standard Careline Alarm, but with the added security of a pendant which detects a fall.
With the Vibby Alarm, there is no need to press any buttons. If the wearer suffers from a fall, the alarm will automatically detect it and send an alert through to the monitoring team. Confirmation that an alert has been raised is clearly shown by an LED light on the device, along with a useful vibration.
Of course, users can still press the pendant button if they require help for another reason.

The Careline service in Nottingham works perfectly with a Key Safe. This is a secure metal box which allows people to store their house keys behind a combination lock. This stops people from leaving spare keys under doormats or plant pots - which puts their homes at risk!
Alongside the added security, a Key Safe can also play a part in the Careline service. We advise all of our alarm users to pass on their combination code to our monitoring team. In an emergency situation, our team can then pass this information on to the paramedics.
Without a Key Safe, the paramedics may not be able to gain entry to the alarm user's home. They would have to wait or cause damage upon entry. With the code, they can simply open the Key Safe, get the keys and open the door. The time saved here could make all the difference.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
