Careline Alarm Base Unit
As part of the Careline package, alarm users will receive a base unit. This "hub" is plugged into the telephone socket and a power supply, with the telephone connecting into the back of the unit. The alarm unit allows communication between our monitoring team and the alarm user. This is done through a loudspeaker and built-in microphone system. The unit also has a 40-hour back-up battery which will boot-up during a power cut.
Careline Pendant
Alongside the alarm's base unit, alarm users will also receive the MyAmie Pendant. This clever little device can be worn around the neck and around the wrist, and can also be kept on in the bathroom as it is waterproof. Should they have a fall or require medical assistance, the alarm user simply needs to press the red button on their pendant. This sends an alert through to our monitoring team, who will respond immediately.
A Fall Detector for Clacton-on-Sea
For those looking for extra security and peace of mind, we also offer a fall detector package. This includes the newly-released Vibby Fall Detector. Unlike the standard MyAmie, there is no need to press any buttons. The Vibby Fall Detector can detect when the alarm user has a fall and will automatically raise an alert with our monitoring team. Confirmation that an alert has been raised is clearly shown by an LED light on the device, along with a useful vibration.
It's also easy to cancel an alarm call if it was a false alarm or a test. The alarm user can do this by covering the face of the Vibby with their hands, or stand up within the 20 second period after a fall is detected.
Of course if you feel unwell or have any other concerns you can press the pendant button.
Think Carefully About Emergency Contacts
We recommend that all alarm users have at least two emergency contacts, who live close by.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
