Careline Alarm Base Unit
All of our alarm users in Dorchester will receive the alarm base unit. This little 'hub' can be installed within a matter of minutes, by plugging it into the telephone socket and a power supple. The telephone then goes into the back of the unit, using the adapter provided. The alarm base unit includes a loudspeaker and built-in microphone, to allow clear and crisp communication between our monitoring team and alarm users.
MyAmie Pendant
Alongside the base unit, alarm users will also receive the stylish MyAmie Pendant device. This can be worn around the neck or around the wrist, depending on the alarm user's preference. It can be kept on whilst the alarm user is in the bath or shower as it is waterproof. The pendant will also work outside in the garden, with a range of up to 100 metres. This will be checked during the test call process.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
