The Careline Package

Once alarm users have pressed the button on their pendant an alert is sent to the monitoring team who communicate with the user over the Careline base unit. This is done through a loudspeaker and microphone system that is built into the box. The base unit needs to be plugged into the telephone line and can be set-up in a couple of minutes. The base unit is programmed before the user receives the device.
MyAmie Pendant
The MyAmie Pendant is worn around the user's neck or wrist. It includes the red help button that the user presses in an emergency, sending a message to the monitoring team. Users have the option to choose how they wear the device, as the pendant comes with a neck and wrist strap. The pendant is small, stylish and comfortable to wear. Most users keep the pendant on them at all times, such as in the shower as it is waterproof.
Vibby Fall Detector
The Vibby Fall Detector package provides extra security in Edinburgh. It includes a fall detector, worn around the neck, to detect if the user has fallen over. If a fall is detected the Vibby automatically sends an alert to the monitoring team who then communicate with the user over the base unit to see if they are okay and if they need help.
Vibby Fall Detector works in a similar way to the MyAmie pendant as the user can press the help button on the pendant if they feel unwell or in an emergency. Vibby is also small and stylish such as the MyAmie pendant.

All alarm users will need to have at least one emergency contact on their Careline profile.
Support 24/7, 365 days of the year
Our monitoring team is highly-trained and work hard to protect each Careline user. The monitoring team are available to help users 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Therefore, help is available in the middle of the night and even on Christmas day - ensuring that our users receive the highest quality of service.
When the user presses the red button on their pendant an alert will be sent to the monitoring team, who then communicates with the user over the base unit. The team member will evaluate the situation and respond in the most appropriate way. Usually, the monitoring team will contact the emergency contacts that are given on the new customer form.
If the user has a key safe these details will be given to the emergency contact or emergency services. The monitoring team will hold relevant medical information that is shared with the paramedics.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.

The pendant which accompanies the Careline alarm's base unit has some useful features:
