The Careline Package
Careline Alarm Base Unit
Alarm users in York will receive two parts, the first of which is the alarm's base unit. This 'hub' box plugs into the user's telephone line and the mains power, with their telephone being plugged into the back of the device. The base unit connects the alarm user to the monitoring team. It has a loudspeaker which the monitoring team will speak through, and a build-in microphone so that the user can respond.
Red Button Pendant
The second part that people in York will receive is the little red button pendant. This clever device can be worn around the wrist or around the neck, depending on user preference. It's waterproof so that the user can still call for help in the bath or shower. A range of up to 100 metres means that the user can also raise an alarm if they trip outside in the garden. In an emergency, the user simply presses the red button.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
