Base Unit
The first part of the system is the alarm base unit. This little 'hub' box needs to be plugged into the telephone socket and mains power. The alarm user's telephone is then connected to the back of the box, using the adaptor provided. Once everything is connected, a test call is completed by pressing the red help button. The alarm base unit allows the alarm user to communicate with our monitoring team, using a loudspeaker and built-in microphone to do so.
Wearable Pendant
The second part of our easy-to-use system is the wearable pendant button. This little device can be worn around the neck or around the wrist, depending on the preferences of the alarm user. It's waterproof so that it can be used in the slippery conditions of the bathroom, and will still connect to the base unit outside in the garden (100 metre range). In an emergency, the alarm user presses the red pendant button to alert the monitoring team - who will respond immediately.
Vibby Fall Detector
To add even more safety in Glasgow, we would advise upgrading to the fall detector pendant. The new Vibby Fall Detector, which is worn around the neck, automatically detects a fall and sends an alert message through to the monitoring centre. Confirmation that an alert has been raised will be given by an LED light and vibration.
Like the standard pendant, the Vibby is discreet and stylish. It can also be worn in the bath or shower as it is waterproof. If the alarm user feels unwell or is concerned about their security at home, they can still press the help button on their pendant.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
