The Careline Package for Harlow
Careline Base Unit
Residents in Harlow will receive the Careline base unit when they join our service. This 'hub' needs to be plugged into the mains and the telephone socket. The user's telephone is then plugged into the back of the unit, using an adaptor provided. This device allows the user to talk to the 24-hour monitoring centre in an emergency. They do so using the built-in microphone, whilst the monitoring team reply through the loudspeaker.

Harlow residents also receive the stylish pendant button. This clever device can be worn around the user's wrist or neck, depending on their preference. The pendant is waterproof so that the user can still raise an alarm if they slip in the bathroom. It will work throughout the home and garden thanks to a range of up to 100 metres. In an emergency, the user simply presses the red button.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
