Lifeline Vi Alarm Base Unit
The Careline Alarm's base unit contains all of the latest technology and it is very easy to install. It need to be plugged into a telephone socket and a power supply, with the telephone connecting to the base unit. In an emergency, our monitoring team will respond over the built-in loudspeaker. The base unit has three buttons; a help button (red), a cancel button (green) and a home/away button (yellow).
MyAmie Pendant
The second part of the Careline Alarm system is the pendant device. This can be worn around the wrist or around the neck, depending on the preference of the alarm user. Our pendant is waterproof, for use in the bathroom, and has a range of up to 100m. This means that it will still connect to the base unit from the garden. The pendant has been designed to be as comfortable and wearable as possible for our users.
Who are your Emergency Contacts?
All of our customers must have at least one emergency contact on their account. These are the people that will be contacted in an emergency.
24-hour Monitoring Centre
All Careline customers in London, and across the country, will be cared for by our 24-hour monitoring centre. Our team are highly trained to ensure that our alarm users receive the highest quality of service. They also work 365 days a year to ensure that help can always be found.
If an alarm user has a fall, they simply press the red button on their pendant and an alert call will be made to the monitoring team. A team member responds immediately to find out what has happened and what condition the alarm user is in. They will then take the most suitable actions.
This will include contacting the emergency contacts chosen by the alarm user. Commonly this includes family members, neighbours and close friends. If needed, the emergency services will also be called.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
