The Careline Package for Walsall Community Alarms Users

Careline Alarm Base Unit
New users in Walsall will receive the alarm base unit. This "hub" simply goes into the user's telephone socket and mains power. The telephone is then connected to the back of the unit, using the adaptor provided. The base unit allows the user to speak with the monitoring team. This is done via a loudspeaker (for the monitoring team) and a built-in microphone (for the alarm user). There is also a help button, cancel button, and a home/away button for when the user is on holiday.
Red Pendant Button
Walsall alarm users will also receive the little pendant button. This device has been designed to be as discreet and comfortable as possible. It can be worn around the wrist or neck, and both attachments are included. Waterproof functionality means that the user will be able to raise an alarm if they slip in the bath. It also has a seven-year battery, so there is no need to worry about charging. In an emergency, the alarm user pushes the red button and the 24/7 monitoring team will respond.
Fall Detector Pendant
For even more security and peace of mind in Walsall, we would advise upgrading to our fall detector package. This include the new Vibby Fall Detector, which is worn around the neck. The Vibby automatically detects a fall and sends an alert message through to the monitoring centre. Confirmation that an alert has been raised will be given by an LED light and vibration.
Much like the standard red button pendant, the Vibby is discreet and stylish. It can also be worn in the bath or shower as it is waterproof. If the alarm user feels unwell or is concerned about their security at home, they can still press the help button on their pendant - as they would with the standard pendant.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
