Stonehenge

Stonehenge is a legendary neolithic monument made using stones transported from Wales. The reason for it being built is still unknown today.

"With a history spanning 4,500 years Stonehenge has many different meanings to people today. It is a wonder of the world, a spiritual place and a source of inspiration. The Stone Circle is a masterpiece of engineering, and building it would have taken huge effort from hundreds of well-organised people using only simple tools and technologies."

Situated west of the UK, in the stunning county of Wiltshire, just two miles west of Amesbury and eight miles north of Salisbury, the English heritage site attracts thousands of visitors every year to see the stones and learn more about our Neolithic ancestors within the visitors centre nearby.

Tickets cost from $16.50 to visit the site which can be pre-booked online via the English Heritage Stonehenge website.

Set in the heart of stunning Cornwall, the Eden Project is a popular visitor attraction that thousands of people go to each year.
