Installing the Careline Alarm
Quick and Easy Installation
Installing the Careline Alarm only takes a few short minutes, and can be completed by the alarm user or by a friend or family member. We understand that speed is key within our industry, which is why the alarm will arrive at the user's home within 24-hours of the order being placed.
Once the alarm arrives:
- The base unit needs to be plugged into the user's telephone socket, using the white telephone cable provided.
- Connect the telephone into the back of the back unit, using the adapter/filter provided.
- The alarm unit is then plugged into the mains power pocket, which should then be turned on.
- The alarm user can then press the red help button on the base unit. Our monitoring team will answer and complete a test call to ensure that everything is working correctly.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.

The pendant which accompanies the Careline alarm's base unit has some useful features:
- It's lightweight, comfortable and discreet.
- It can be worn around the wrist or neck.
- It's waterproof for use in the bath or shower.
- It has a range of around 100 metres for use in the garden.
