The Careline Package
All alarm users in Norfolk will receive a base unit and pendant.
Careline Alarm Base Unit
The Careline base unit is very easy to set-up and install, as we program the unit so that all the user needs to do is plug it into a telephone socket. In the case of an emergency the user will press the red button on the pendant that sends an alert to the monitoring team. the monitoring team then communicate with the user over the base unit to see if they are okay and then assess the situation.
Pendant Button
The pendant button is worn by the user, either around their neck or their wrist. If the user has a fall or feels unwell they press the red button which alerts the monitoring team. The pendant works up to 100 metres from the base unit so can be used in most places around the house. The pendant is waterproof so can be used in the shower although we do ask users to take it off at night and place it next to them.
Key Safes for your Home
At Careline we recommend that all alarm users have a key safe on the exterior of their home in Norfolk. A key safe is a metal box that is attached outside the home to store spare keys. They are extremely durable, safe and can only be accessed by people who have to code. This is because to access the keys the user must enter a unique code.
Key safes are very important because they allow family, friends and emergency services to access the property quicker in an emergency situation. At Careline we ask users who have a key safe the unique code so that we can provide this information when contacting the given emergency contacts.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency.
The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package.
The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
