Careline's Emergency Pendant
An emergency pendant is ideal for anyone who could be vulnerable at home, such as the elderly and those with disabilities or health conditions. It is especially useful for those who live alone, who may not have anybody to help them to their feet if they have a fall.

MyAmie Emergency Pendant
Our emergency pendant can be worn around the neck or around the wrist. It has been designed with comfort in mind, and can also be worn whilst in the bath or shower as it is waterproof. In an emergency, the alarm user simply pushes the red button on their emergency pendant.
Lifeline Vi Alarm Base Unit
Our emergency pendant connects to the Lifeline Vi Alarm. The device connects alarm users to our 24-hour monitoring team. They can communicate via the loudspeaker and built-in microphone in an emergency situation.

What happens when the alarm user presses their emergency pendant?
The help you need, when you need it.
The Careline Alarm System is a great way of ensuring that those who live alone have somebody to call for help. Each of our alarm users are covered by our monitoring team.
When the red button is pushed on the emergency pendant, an instant call goes out to our monitoring team. They will respond over the loudspeaker, access the situation and take the appropriate actions.
This involves calling friends, family or neighbours (emergency contacts) and, if they are required, the emergency services.
24-hour Monitoring Centre
Our monitoring team work all day, every day to ensure that our alarm users are always being looked after. The team have gone through extensive training and are ready to respond to any emergency situations.
When an emergency pendant has been pressed, a member of the team will call the alarm user through the base unit. They will do their best to reassure the alarm user, whilst asking them what has happened.
The team member will then begin to call for help. He or she will have a list of emergency contacts in-front of them, which were chosen by the alarm user.
The emergency services will also be called if they are needed.
The monitoring team can also pass on the alarm user's medical history to the paramedics, to put them in the best possible position to help.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency. The Piper Alarm service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package. The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team. In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the Care Team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
24-Hour Care and Support
Our highly-trained Care Team play an important part of the Piper Alarm service. The team have been trained to deal with a number of emergency situations, so that they can reassure and advise in the best way possible. Our Care Team are available 24/7, 365 days a year to ensure our alarm users can always call for help.
When they receive an alert call, a member of the team will dial through to the alarm user through their base unit loudspeaker. They will ask the user what has happened and if they're ok, before calling for help.
They will call for emergency contacts - friends, family and neighbours - and ask them to attend urgently. The emergency services will also be contacted if they are required.
Emergency Contacts
We reccommend that all alarm users have at least one emergency contact on their Careline profile, if possible. If you don't think you're able to list an emergency contact on your loved ones new Piper Alarm, we advise having a Key Safe in place which can be bought online at the same time as the alarm.
