What is a personal alarm and how do they work?
Our personal alarms are designed for people who want extra reassurance at home or while out and about. While many people get an alarm after a fall or health change, it’s often safer to have support in place before something happens.
The alarm supports independence while offering peace of mind, not just for the person who uses the service, but also for their family and loved ones who want to know help is always available if something happens.
How our service works
All of our personal alarms are simple to use.
- With one press, the alarm connects to our Care Team, who answer within seconds
- They speak to you through your alarm and get you the help you need
- Our team assesses the situation and calls the emergency services, or our chosen emergency contacts.
Which Personal Alarm suits me?
In-home only
A base unit speaker and alarm trigger worn around your wrist or neck. The water-resistant alarm trigger has coverage throughout your home and garden. Our in-home alarms also have the option to add fall detection.
In and out of home
Help can find you wherever you are. Available as a pendant which can be worn around the neck or kept in your pocket. Our GPS Personal Alarm lets you speak directly to our Care Team through the pendant itself.
Personal Alarm Watches
Combine style with safety both in and out of the home. Our Smart Watch offers premium technology with our caring service, while our Personal Alarm Watch provides discreet protection that looks like a regular fitness tracker. Both let you talk to our Care Team directly through the watch and send our Care Team your location once activated in an emergency.
Fall detection
Fall detection senses a fall and automatically calls our team. If you are unable to speak with us for any reason, our team will send the help you need.
If a call is automatically raised but you are okay, then you can either cancel the call or speak with our team, they'll be happy to know you are okay.
Emergency contacts
You can have up to six emergency contacts, listed in your chosen priority order.
In an emergency, our first priority is getting you the help you need, so if required, we’ll call the emergency services straight away.
We’ll then contact your emergency contacts to let them know what’s happening, whether that’s to inform them that help is on the way, ask them to check in on you, or simply let them know there’s been a minor incident and you're okay.
You’re in control of your contact list and can update it at any time by simply giving us a call.
