What is a Fall Detector?

A Fall Detector works in a similar way to our standard pendant alarms, allowing customers to press a button if they need help anywhere in their home or garden. The Fall Detector has an added layer of security by automatically generating a call for assistance if a fall is detected.

The Fall Detector alarm takes the following action:

1. If you fall, the pendant will detect this.

2. The alarm unit automatically calls our Platinum Accredited Care Team who answer within seconds.

3. The Care Team talk to you over the alarm loudspeaker to identify the best course of action and reassure you.

4. Depending on the situation, our Care Team contact a neighbour, family member, friend or if needed, emergency services.

What is Careline?

The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency. The Careline service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package. The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team. In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the monitoring team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.

The pendant which accompanies the Careline alarm's base unit has some useful features: It's lightweight, comfortable and discreet. It can be worn around the wrist or neck. It's waterproof for use in the bath or shower. It has a range of around 100 metres for use in the garden.
