Press and hold the button on your Alarm Watch and you'll be connected straight through to our emergency Care Team.

Fall detection
If you have a hard fall, built-in fall detection raises the alert automatically.

Read more on fall detection here.

Emergency location sharing
Our team will use GPS to locate you, so we can ensure help is sent to you, wherever you are.

Read more on locating you in an emergency here.

Battery
The Alarm Watch battery lasts one to two days. We recommend charging it daily and after any call to our Care Team, as calls use additional power. The watch will let you know when the battery is running low.

Delivery
For next-day delivery please order by 5pm on weekdays. On Saturdays, please order by 12 noon and Sundays by 10am.

Your personal alarm can be setup within 24-hours of ordering, with completion of an EverNear Member Profile.

Returns & Cancellations

If you change your mind, you can cancel your pay-monthly or 12-month subscription to our EverNear Service and return your Home & Garden Personal Alarm for a refund within 30 days of delivery. For a refund, we require that the Alarm Button is still in its original, intact packaging, it has not been used, tested, or damaged, and the protective films have not been removed. We will then refund your original EverNear Service subscription charge and product fee.

Monthly Subscriptions:

When you choose to pay monthly for our EverNear Service you commit to an initial term of 3 months, during which monthly payments will be taken on the same date each month. Past the initial term, monthly payments will continue to be taken on the same date until we hear from you requesting a cancellation. We require 30 days’ notice for any cancellation request.

If you would like to cancel a pay-monthly Evernear Service subscription, past the 30 days, during the initial 3-month term, you will still be required to pay for all 3 months and provide us with 30 days’ notice.

For more information, please see our full terms of service and returns policy.

Our returns policy for opened and unopened goods is in addition to your statutory rights and applies to purchases made, online or over the phone.

Fall detection:
Fall detection is designed to recognise sudden, hard impacts while filtering out everyday movements. No fall detector can detect every fall. Slower falls, like gradually slipping from a chair or catching yourself on the way down, may not always be detected. How and where you wear the device can also make a difference.

It cannot detect every fall and should not be relied on as the only way to raise an alert. Whenever you are able, pressing your button yourself is the most reliable way to contact our team.

Please read more on fall detection here

Alarm call response time:

We endeavour to answer 97.5% of emergency alarm calls within 60 seconds, in alignment with our commitment with the TSA. As of April 2025, our average answer time was 4.08 seconds.

Network Requirements:

If you have an alarm device that relies on an unlocked SIM card, it will need a mobile signal to connect to us. If you are in a location which has no available mobile signal then an alarm call cannot be made, you will not be able to speak with our Care Team, and our Care Team will not be able to know your location. This is the same as, for example, when you try to make a phone call from a mobile phone when you have no signal – it cannot connect.

Please note that whilst our SIM devices, such as GPS pendants and Personal Alarm products will work with weaker mobile signals, a 4G signal is recommended for faster connections to our Care Team.

Your safety is our priority, and we are committed to providing technology that supports your independence with confidence and security.

Alarm Watch Locator
Our Alarm Watch comes with a free locator device to use in-home. This can improve in home location accuracy such as in a block of flats, where there can be weak spots in mobile signal. Your Alarm Watch will still require a mobile signal to wirelessly connect to your locator, and to make and receive alarm calls when you are at home.

Pacemakers and Implanted Cardiac Devices
For your safety and peace of mind, if you have a pacemaker or other implanted cardiac device, we recommend keeping your Alarm Watch at least 15cm (6 inches) away from your device. To minimise any potential interference, we also advise wearing the watch on the opposite side of your body from your pacemaker—typically on your right wrist if your pacemaker is implanted on the left side. This guidance aligns with international safety standards, including ISO 14117 and IEC 60601-1-2, which outline electromagnetic compatibility requirements for medical devices to help prevent any potential interference from GSM modules and other wireless communication technologies. While modern pacemakers are designed with robust shielding against everyday electronic devices, maintaining this safe distance ensures optimal performance and comfort.

If you have any concerns, we advise consulting your healthcare provider or the manufacturer of your pacemaker for personalised guidance. Your safety is our priority, and we are committed to providing technology that supports your independence with confidence and security.

Wellness Monitoring
The Alarm Watch can check your heart rate and blood pressure. Each reading can take up to 30 seconds to provide an estimate of these stats. For best results, ensure your watch fits properly against clean, dry skin while remaining still. The reading accuracy can be affected by factors such as skin contact, strap tightness, movement, hydration levels, and temperature. Ensure the watch fits properly against clean, dry skin while remaining still.

These readings are for general wellness monitoring only. This watch is not a certified medical device; for any medical concerns or clinical assessments, please use a certified medical device or consult your GP or medical professional.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, all wearable personal alarm devices from Careline365 are owned by you. This means your device is new to you, with a fresh battery and has never been worn by anyone else.

For in-home alarms, an alarm hub is also provided as part of your service. This is loaned to you for the duration of your subscription, ensuring everything works as it should without any additional cost.

Yes, many of Careline365’s personal alarms can be used both at home and when you’re out and about.

Devices designed for use outside the home, such as watches and pendants, use a built-in SIM card to raise a call when help is needed. They also use GPS (Global Positioning System), the same technology used in your phone’s maps, to help identify your location during an emergency.

This means you can continue going about your day with the reassurance that help can be arranged wherever there is mobile signal, even if you’re unable to explain where you are.

A personal alarm is designed to work in most areas across the UK.

All Careline365 alarms can use the mobile phone network and come with a built-in SIM card, so there’s nothing extra to set up or pay for.

For in-home alarms, such as the Alarm Hub, it’s recommended to use an Ethernet connection where possible for the most reliable performance.

A personal alarm is designed to remain reliable even during situations like a power cut.

Charged devices that use mobile networks can continue to connect as long as there is signal.

Careline 365’s personal alarms are designed to be water resistant, so they can be worn in the shower or bath.

This is important, as many falls happen in these areas. However, devices should not be fully submerged in water or exposed to excessive moisture beyond normal use. If you’re unsure about your specific device, we recommend checking the manual or speaking to our team for guidance.

A personal alarm and a lifeline generally refer to the same type of service, a personal emergency response system that allows you to raise a call for help using a device connected to a monitoring team.

You may also hear similar services described using terms like Careline, Carelink, panic alarm, Piper alarm, care call, medical alert bracelet, pendant alarm, or telecare.

These are often just different names for the same kind of support, although the exact features and level of service can vary between providers.

In some cases, a personal alarm can be used if you have a pacemaker or other cardiac device.

Some devices, particularly those worn on the wrist or used at home, may be more suitable than others depending on how they are worn and used.

If you’re unsure, our team can talk you through the available options and help you find the most suitable setup. More information can also be found in our 'Important Service Information' section above on this page.

If you have any concerns, we also recommend checking with your healthcare provider or the manufacturer of your pacemaker for personalised guidance.
