Emergency contacts

Our personal alarm services are designed for people who want extra reassurance at home or while out and about. They can be referred to in many different ways, such as a fall alarm, lifeline, or telecare device. Many people choose a personal alarm after a change in health or mobility, but having protection in place before an emergency offers greater safety and peace of mind.

Our service supports independent living for the person who uses our personal alarms, and provides reassurance to their family and loved ones, who want to know that help is always available.

All of our personal alarms are simple to use.

  • With one press, the alarm connects to our 24/7 Care Team, who answer in seconds.
  • They speak to you through your alarm and get you the help you need. If you can't speak, our Care Team will ensure help is sent to you.
  • Our team assesses the situation and calls the emergency services or your
    chosen emergency contacts.

You can have up to six emergency contacts, listed in your chosen priority order. They can be updated at any time by simply giving us a call.

In an emergency, our first priority is getting you the help you need, so if required, we’ll call the emergency services straight away. We’ll then call your emergency contacts to let them know what has happened and that help is on the way. If it's not an emergency, but you need some support, we will call your emergency contacts and ask them to check on you, or let them know that you need some help.

Day-to-day life with your personal alarm

Wearing a personal alarm pendant or watch quickly becomes second nature, like wearing a watch or piece of jewellery. Our watch-style alarms not only provide emergency support but can also track steps and help you monitor your health.

Complete freedom
Continue doing the things you enjoy: gardening, relaxing at home, or meeting friends, knowing your alarm works throughout the home and garden, and even beyond if you choose our out-and-about options.
Simple daily routine
Home alarms never need charging. Watch alarms charge overnight like your mobile phone. Test your alarm monthly with a quick call to our friendly Care Team.
Accidental presses happen
Don't worry if you accidentally press your button; it happens. Just tell our team it was a mistake when they answer. We'd much rather you press it accidentally than needed help and couldn't reach us.
There when you need us
Many people never need their alarm in an emergency, but those who do are incredibly grateful it’s there. One button press connects you to people who genuinely care – whether after a fall at home, feeling unwell, or simply needing reassurance.
