24-Hour Monitoring
Every Careline alarm user will be covered by our highly-trained monitoring team. Our team work 24-hours-a-day, all year round to ensure that they provide the safest and highest quality of service possible.
It is the monitoring team who will receive an alert call once the red button on the pendant or base unit has been pressed. They will respond immediately via the loudspeaker on the base unit. The alarm user will be asked if they are okay and what has happened. The situation is assessed and the monitoring team will then arrange for help.
This will involve contacting family, friends or neighbours (known as emergency contacts), and the emergency services if they are needed. If the monitoring team don't hear a response from the alarm user, they will assume that something is wrong and arrange for help.

What is Careline?
The Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail or disabled people remain in their own homes, with the knowledge that they always have somebody to help them in an emergency. The Piper Alarm service includes an alarm base unit, which plugs into the telephone line, and a comfortable pendant which goes around the wrist or neck. All attachments are included in the Careline package. The Careline alarm can easily be installed and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour care team. In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant and the Care Team will respond. The situation is assessed over the base unit's loudspeaker and help if found in the form of emergency contacts and, if needed, the emergency services.
