Where it all began...
Over four decades ago, we started as part of McCarthy & Stone retirement homes with a simple mission: to help people live safely and confidently in their own homes through our monitoring service.
We've grown significantly since then, now providing monitoring services and more across the UK. But our core values have never changed - genuine care and putting people first remain at the heart of everything we do.
Leading the digital revolution...
As the UK's largest telecare provider, we saw the future coming before anyone else. While others were still relying on old analogue systems, we were already developing CareNet - the UK's first digital call handling platform.
This wasn't just about keeping up with technology; it was about making sure we could serve our members better. Once we implemented our award-winning platform, we became the UK's first and only digital telecare monitoring centre. We didn't just adapt to change - we led it.
Recognition and growth...
The industry took notice of what we were achieving. We won 'Best Use of Technology' at the UK Contact Centre Forum awards - recognition that felt incredible, but more importantly, showed we were on the right track.
By now, millions of people had put their trust in us over the years. Every single day, we were handling more calls, helping more families, and proving that telecare could scale without losing its heart.
Always innovating...
We fully created a new type of digital personal alarm ourselves, in-house, to provide the best technology for our members and to continue our work on making sure their alarms are future-proof, reliable, and ready for the UK’s shift to a fully digital network.
By now, we handle a call every 3 seconds, dealing not just with emergencies, but with loneliness, welfare checks, and providing the reassurance that someone is always there.
Award-winning team...
Our commitment to excellence was recognised again when we were highly commended for 'Large Contact Centre of the Year' and won Silver for 'Best Contact Centre Workplace' at the UK Contact Centre Forum awards, and were finalists in the European Contact Centre & Customer Service Awards.
Where we are now...
Today we are the UK's largest provider of telecare services. With over 650 staff across our two UK-based Alarm Response Centres, we combine unmatched experience with the personal touch that's always defined us.
We've invested millions into digital technology, ensuring we're not just keeping pace with change but leading it. We're proud to support the NHS by helping people stay safely in their own homes, reducing pressure on hospitals and care services.
Our achievements speak for themselves, but what we're most proud of is simpler: every day, we help people maintain their independence, give families peace of mind, and ensure that no one has to face an emergency alone.
