How to Install the Careline Fall Alarm

Installing your Careline

Your Careline Personal Alarm will arrive the next working day after you place your order. Once we have processed your New Customer Form, the alarm will be ready to plug in and use.

Our alarms are the latest in Plug & Play alarm technology and have been designed to be installed by the user at home. There is no need to wait for an engineer to call - it takes just 2 minutes to install.

Connect Power

Connect the plug and power cable together. Then plug the cable into the base unit, making sure it's secure by gently tugging it. If the cable doesn't stay in place, try rotating it 90 degrees - it should then fit securely.

Connect Ethernet

Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the 'ETH' socket on the back of your base unit - you'll hear it click into place. Then plug the other end into any available socket on the back of your broadband router. This step is optional, but will give you the strongest possible connection for your alarm.

Turn On & Test

Plug your alarm into a wall socket and switch it on. You'll see a red light appear and hear the message 'Hello, ready and waiting' - this confirms your alarm is set up correctly and ready to test.

What is Careline?

A Careline alarm is designed to help older, frail, disabled people remain in their own homes and maintain their independence, with the knowledge that they always have somebody there to help them in an emergency. We have a range of devices to suit different needs, from in-home alarms with base speaker units, wrist or neck pendant options that work in and away from home, to Smart Watches.

Everything you need is included in the Careline365 package. Our Careline alarms can be easily installed or set up, and tested by the user. Once the test is complete, the user will be connected to our 24-hour Care Team. In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the button on their device and our monitoring team will respond. Our team will speak with you through your device and assess the situation. They will arrange the help you need, whether that's the emergency services or the support of your emergency contacts.
