How do Pendant Alarms Work?
The Careline alarm service is designed to be as simple as possible. Here's how it works.
1. Wear your pendant around your wrist or neck.
2. If you have a fall, feel unwell, or need assistance for any reason, just press your pendant button.
3. Our Care Team will receive an alert and answer the call.
4. A member of the Care Team will talk to you over the built-in loudspeaker to find out what has happened.
5. The Care Team will send help by calling your emergency contacts and (if necessary) the emergency services.
6. The Care Team will stay on the line to reassure you until help arrives.

The standard Careline Alarm system includes the Careline Base Unit and red button pendant. The base unit plugs into your telephone socket and mains power (you can then plug your landline telephone into the back of the alarm using the adaptor provided). The standard pendant has a range of 100 metres from the base unit, protecting you throughout your entire home and garden.
You can choose to upgrade from the standard Careline Pendant to our automatic Fall Detector. This is an advanced pendant which is programmed to the wearer's height, allowing it to detect a fall and raise the alarm automatically - no need to press a button! Of course, you can still press the face of the Fall Detector to raise a call for help whenever you need it. Just like the standard pendant, the Fall Detector has a range of 100 metres.
Finally, we also offer a brand new GPS Alarm. This pendant alarm offers unbeatable peace of mind and protection wherever you go. There is no base unit required, so it's also ideal for those who do not have an active landline at home. This pendant alarm lets you call for help wherever you are, whether you're at home or out and about.
